What is MOUD?

MOUD stands for Medications for Opioid Use Disorder. These medications—such as methadone and buprenorphine—help reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms and support recovery from opioid addiction. It is considered the gold standard in treatment for opioid use disorder.

MOUD is most effective when combined with therapy, recovery supports, and ongoing care. At Alliance Recovery Center, treatment is designed to support the whole person not just the symptoms of addiction.
